A robbery at a drug dealer degenerates into a shootout: a gang war?

In recent weeks, in Brussels, but also in Charleroi, several violent events have taken place in the news. By the admission of the prosecution itself, we can even speak of gang warfare where individuals do not hesitate to shoot each other or to clash with swords. It is in this rather nebulous context that a violent robbery was committed on June 11, at the home of Abdelkader’s usual dealer.

According to substitute Bouilliez, the latter participated in the facts, with three other accomplices and using a firearm. But the defendant, temporarily detained in Jamioulx, only recognizes the simple theft of two balls of cocaine and heroin placed on the dealer’s table.

Only here, this rapid theft of dumplings does not correspond to the reading of the file on the side of the public prosecutor. The partner of the dealer and also the victim of the robbery speaks of an intrusion by four “bledards” who came to look for money and who searched the accommodation. Surveillance camera footage and the descriptions provided in the file point to Nassar and Abdelkader as two of the protagonists. The first defendant, born in 2003, said he was not involved in the robbery. “I was not there and even the victim says so”insists Nassar.

In addition to narcotic pellets, various objects were also taken by the thieves: furniture, kitchen utensils, clothes, etc. Following the violent robbery, a shootout almost turned tragic outside the building. “The four suspects were targeted by shots from a rival gang that came to the scene. » Abdelkader was notably hit by three shots.

Despite the absence of a criminal record for the two defendants, the prosecution suggests great firmness and a prison sentence of 40 months. On the side of the two defense lawyers, the required sentence is considered excessive. Judging this Friday.
