The Department of Estimates at the Meteorological Authority stated that “stable and cold weather dominates Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean until Wednesday morning, as it fluctuates gradually to return and stabilize on Thursday,” warning of “interruption of mountainous and internal roads due to the formation of snow in the morning and evening, and the risk of slips.” Noting that “the average temperature on the coast for the month of February is between 11.4 and 19.2 degrees Celsius.”
And she explained in her evening bulletin, “The expected weather in Lebanon today, Monday, is generally cloudy, with a slight rise in temperatures, but they remain below their seasonal averages (within 3 degrees), low humidity, and the continued formation of snow indoors and mountainous areas that are more than 1,000 meters and above.” Above during the night and the early hours of the morning. Clouds are condensing in the north-east of the country, starting in the followingnoon, and the weather is ready for some scattered light rain with thick fog.
And the Department of Estimates pointed out that “the weather is expected for tomorrow, Tuesday, to be partly cloudy, with a slight additional rise in temperatures that remain below their seasonal averages, and the humidity remaining low, with the continuation of snow formation on the internal roads and heights of more than 1,200 meters and above during the night and morning hours.” 1. And it indicated that “the weather expected on Wednesday is partly cloudy to cloudy, with a decrease in temperatures, and the weather is ready for sporadic rain, as light snow falls on heights above 1,100 meters or less in the north.” And it stated that “the weather expected Thursday is partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with fog on the heights and a slight rise in temperatures, as snow is formed in the internal regions and on mountain roads that are more than 1,000 meters or more during the night and early morning hours.”
The department added, “The surface winds are northwesterly during the day to northeasterly at night, with speeds between 15 and 30 km/h. The swelling is generally good. The relative humidity on the coast is between 40 and 55%. The sea condition is low, the wave height is low, and the water surface temperature is 17 degrees Celsius.”
