The world’s largest battery manufacturer has announced a model of what it says is the world’s first “ultra-fast charging” battery, capable of providing energy for a 400-kilometre walk, when charging for just 10 minutes.

According to the company’s chief scientist, Dr. Wu Kai, it is necessary to innovate in the field of electric car batteries, and to make advanced technology in this field accessible to consumers of this category of vehicles.
The company, which was the world’s first in 2022 in terms of battery production, plans to start producing its “revolutionary” battery later this year.
The company did not disclose which car makers are interested in the battery or who will get it first, knowing that its list of customers includes companies such as Toyota, Honda, Tesla, Volvo, Volkswagen, BMW and Daimler.
It is reported that sales of electric cars have witnessed record growth in recent years, as more than 10 million cars were sold last year, yet they still represent less than a fifth of total car sales in all categories.
