A resolution to rejoin Syria in the Arab League was approved

The Arab Foreign Ministers in their meeting in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, have agreed to rejoin the Arab League of Syria.

According to the Arab media, the foreign ministers of the Arab League discussed the proposal of Syria’s rejoining the Arab League in this extraordinary meeting on Sunday and then agreed to this proposal.

In the meeting, the Sudan conflict and the Palestine issue will also be discussed on the agenda.

The Arab League suspended Damascus’ membership in 2011 after a protest movement against President Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria.

Recently, several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia and Egypt, have re-engaged with Syria in high-level visits and meetings.

Arab countries are also trying to reach a consensus on whether to invite Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to the Arab League summit in Riyadh on May 19 to discuss the pace of normalization of relations and on what terms Syria will join the organization. may be allowed to return.

This new development in Cairo took place last week after a meeting of four Arab foreign ministers in Amman, the capital of Jordan. In it, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Maqdad met Arab ministers for the first time. It discussed Jordan’s move to persuade Damascus to negotiate a peace plan.
