Al-Marsad newspaper: Citizen Abdullah Al-Shammari offered his house in Riyadh for sale due to the large number of “rental offices” cars.
Al-Shammari said, in an interview with the “Al-Rased” program, “I offered the house for sale and I am now looking for an alternative house,” noting: “I am comfortable in my home because it is close to my work and the universities of my children, but the problem is that the car rental offices harassed us.”
The program’s report sheds light on the inconvenience caused by car rental shops, explaining: “These are car rental shops and behind them are residential houses, and vigorous attempts are made to make the neighborhood quiet and undisturbed.”
He continued, “Now this site has become a place for testing cars and a space that has been turned into maintenance for those cars, and sometimes temporary parking.”
Citizen Marzouq Al-Khalidi said: “There is manipulation of regulations, in addition to the presence of violators. The state directed the localization of the car rental sector, but there is a cover-up of foreigners.”
The report indicated: “The people of the Cordoba neighborhood have submitted complaints to the concerned authorities and are waiting for a solution to this suffering, which has become an obsession for them.”
Citizen Ibrahim Al-Juaid stated: “We settled complaints and they did not fail with us in the Riyadh Municipality and we went to the municipality, but no one responded.”
Another citizen continued: “In the evening, there is some noise from rented cars and drifting, but there are no solutions to complaints.”
