Apple is distributing the first release candidate version of iOS 17.1 and iPadOS 17.1 this evening. An update that fixes bugs left in the first final version of the new system and brings some functions that were not finalized in time. The RC of tvOS 17.1 is also there.

This version has the particularity of including the fix specific to France for the volume of electromagnetic wave emission on the iPhone 12. The final version should normally arrive next week (also read iOS 17.1: the update fix for the iPhone 12 SAR available “no later than October 24”). The fact that we are in RC this evening confirms this, unless a big bug is found between now and then, in which case a second RC will be necessary.
