Britain’s shortest-serving Prime Minister Liz Truss Also lose your seat. Truss’s defeat comes at a time when the constituencies of all his predecessors since the Tories came to power in 2010 have become either Labor or Liberal Democrat.

Senior minister Johnny Mercer and leading Brexit activist Jacob Rees-Mogg also lost, as voters grew tired of the Conservatives following 14 years in power.
The defeats have sparked self-recrimination among re-elected and outgoing Conservatives, who say the party has been hit by a series of scandals and infighting in recent years.
Former justice minister Robert Buckland said following losing his seat, ‘I think we’ve seen an astonishing amount of corruption within the party in this election.’
Shepps, who has been an MP since 2005, also criticized the Conservatives’ ‘failure to resolve their differences’. He said: ‘It is very clear to me tonight that this is not a victory for Labor but a defeat for the Conservatives.’
However, right-wing Soyla Braverman, who was fired as interior minister by Sonic late last year, was re-elected. Similarly, Finance Minister Jeremy Hunt also managed to win.
Current Home Secretary James Cleverley also retained his seat.
Minister of Business and Trade Kimi Bednoch and Minister of Security Tom Togandt were also successful in the election race.
It is expected that these winning candidates will compete for the leadership of the Conservative Party.
Braverman apologized to voters in his victory speech, saying the Tory party had failed to listen to voters.
He said, ‘Conservative party has disappointed you. We have to improve and I will try my best to restore confidence. We need to hear from you. You have made your point very clear to us.’
