Expectations for market recovery are growing as shipping rates in some regions have turned upward following a long time.

According to the industry on the 31st, the Shanghai Container Freight Index (SCFI) was 1107.55, up 0.46 points from the previous week.

It’s a rise in 28 weeks. It also kept the 1100 line. Although it is significantly lower than the 5,100 level recorded in January, there are many expectations that the global economy may have reached a ‘bottom’.

Prices on European routes also increased by $29 to $1,078. Middle East routes also rose by $21 to $1,173.

However, it continued to decline in 4 out of 7 routes. The Mediterranean route was $1,850 per 1 TEU, down $46 from the previous week, and the Australian and New Zealand route was $692, down $29. The South American route also recorded the largest drop at $1433, down $137.

As a result, the outlook for next year is mixed. Freight competition may continue in the future due to sluggish demand, but it is also believed that the lower limit will be supported as the financial situation is still sound due to the long boom.
