A rare video of Fairuz and information about a plan that affects her.. What happened 28 years ago?

Director Rima Rahbani posted on her Facebook account a very rare video of her mother, Mrs. Fairouz, noting that it dates back to 1994.

Fayrouz appeared while accompanying the preparations for a concert for her that was held on September 17, 1994 in Martyrs’ Square in the center of Beirut, only 4 years following the end of the Lebanese civil war.

Al-Rahbani pointed out in her publication that the concert was organized by the Beirut Festivals Committee, which was headed by Professor Nidal Al-Ashkar, explaining that at that time, a search was conducted with Mrs. Fairouz to sing in the capital following an absence that continued throughout the war, and added: “The idea of Fayrouz’s return was to make the Lebanese They feel that the war is really over.”

In the context of her publication, Rahbani revealed a plan at the time to cancel Fayrouz’s concert, but it never worked.
