This 1968 Chevy Camaro SS Looked Unsalvageable

Several elements make this Camaro SS an exceptional car. According to the media Supercarblondie, the photos of the vehicle suggest that it has not undergone major modifications following leaving the factory. It has retained its original color. The engine is a 396 Big-Block as it was installed in 1968. Several options, rare for the time, were added, such as air conditioning, an N30 steering wheel, electric windows and a center console.

Above all, it is its interior and its passenger compartment that marked the people who made this discovery. The Camaro was designed with red leather seats high quality, which shows that it was probably a high-end model at the time. After so many years of rotting in the humidity, the leather should not have survived. However, the interior has hardly been affected by these years of abandonment.

Once recovered, the Camaro SS was taken care of by Mike Coe and his team. Their goal: to completely restore the Chevrolet. Given the condition of the Camaro, the work is titanic and requires finding certain original parts that have been too damaged. For now, Restoration is only in its infancy.
