Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – A rare appearance of a whale off the shores of Dubai has caught the attention of users of social networks, while users of video clips documented this moment.
And the “Lovin Dubai” account on Instagram, on Sunday, posted videos that showed the moment the whale floated to the surface of the water several times.
The account said, “We have seen a lot of unexpected aquatic animals like stingrays and snakes in the UAE over the past few years. Although we saw a shark in Dubai Marina in 2020, this time we saw a whale in Dubai Harbour.”
The account added: “As always if you come across a wild animal, please do not go near it but you can take a picture, provided you are far enough away.”
CNN cannot confirm when and where these scenes were captured, but what appears to be the revolving “Eye of Dubai” was noted in the background of the video.
The scenes sparked the interaction of many people on social media, while welcoming the unexpected guest.
