A quota of 3500 pilgrims for the hajj 1444/2023

Mauritania will benefit from a contingent of 3,500 pilgrims for Hajj 1444/2023, according to an announcement made Thursday by the Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education, Dah ould Sidi ould Taleb Amar.
Of this number “2000 pilgrims will be in the official quota and 1500 others distributed among travel agencies, on the basis of agreements concluded between the government and these private operators in order to avoid the errors noted last year”.
In addition, the Hajj 1444/2023 will experience other innovations, including the duration of the trip, the pilgrims will be transported from June 10, and will return to the country on July 5 and 6, to avoid delays. There is also a reduction in the cost of the pilgrimage to the tune of 38,000 MRU, in addition to other measures taken to guarantee the quality of the services”, according to the minister.
