A line on Eurojackpot submitted in Sweden was tonight worth a whopping 250 million kroner. The very highest win for Sweden on the game since 2018.

─ The evening offered wintry rain in Sweden! A total of four Swedish players became millionaires at Eurojackpot during the evening’s draw, says Filippa Jartén, communicator at Svenska Spel Tur.

The jackpot was almost up to half a billion kroner, but a player in Norway had the same line and therefore the two winners share the payout.

─ It’s great fun that we get a jackpot win for Sweden! And the fact that the jackpot was shared with Norway at the same time as the opening of the Olympics in Paris is getting underway feels extra fun. This win climbs up to third place among the biggest gambling wins at Svenska Spel Tur ever. The record profit is SEK 562 million for Örebro in 2019, says Filippa Jartén, communicator at Svenska Spel Tur.

Smålänning became a millionaire

This is the eighth time that the jackpot has gone to a player in Sweden. Most recently, it was to a Småland resident in Gislaved in February, who then won 173 million kroner.

─ It will be incredibly exciting to call the person who submitted the winning line. How will the message be received? I can’t imagine how one could possibly react to such a big win. But one thing is certain, it will definitely be a conversation that we will both remember for the rest of our lives, says Filippa Jartén.

With profits at a completely unreasonably high level, extra caution and care is required, according to the state gambling company.

– The prize will therefore be paid out in connection with a bank meeting where the winner receives legal, financial and security advice. It is important to us that the winner gets to land in his new life as safely as possible, concludes Filippa Jartén.

A player in Småland’s Värnamo collected SEK 1.2 million on his five rights.
