This weekend, Roque rugby is preparing for a luxury visit. Tomás Elizalde from Salta, a member of Los Pumas 7s, will be giving a clinic this Saturday at the Roca RC property, in Stefenelli.
In addition, the Rojo club will take advantage of the visit of the Argentine national team player to announce the completion of a new edition of the Seven of the Reunion rugby and also hockey.
The activity this Saturday will begin at 10:00, with training for children under 12, 13 and 14 years old. They will work with them, emphasizing the basic skills of catching the ball, passing and avoiding the opponent.
After this training, Elizalde along with the children and their coaches will witness and draw conclusions from Los Pumas’ match once morest Wales, for the quarterfinals of the World Cup in France that will be played from 12:00.
In the followingnoon there will be training with youth from the categories under 15 and 16 years old, where we will work specifically on the tackle and ruck.
Tomás Elizalde is one of the members of the Los Pumas 7s team that has just made history in the eleventh World Tour of the specialty, where they won six medals in the season: three gold and three silver. In the last stage held in May, they won the London Sevens following beating Fiji in the final.
The Pumas 7s led by Santiago Gómez Cora, already qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with second place achieved in the 2022/23 season of the World Tour, They achieved the best historical record of the national team in the World Rugby Seven Series.
Now the Argentine team is preparing to participate in the Pan American Games that will be held in Chile starting on October 21.

On December 16, a new edition of the traditional Seven of the Reunion will take placea friendly competition that is organized every summer by Roca RC.
The organization announced some details of the event, both for rugby and hockey. Registration will be open between November 15 and December 13. One day before the action, the fixture will be drawn and on Saturday the 16th the hockey games will begin at 10:00, on the fields of the Stefenelli property.
That Saturday followingnoon, at 2:30 p.m., the rugby teams will be accredited and shortly following, at 4 p.m., the crossings will begin. There will be Bronze, Silver and Gold Cup finals.
