A professional association dedicated to electric mobility is born – Today Morocco

The intersectoral professional association for electric mobility (APIME) is taking shape.

Created by a certain number of industrial and commercial companies in order to prepare the Moroccan environment for the rapid development of electric mobility, this organization aims to federate all the operators of the Moroccan economy concerned by electric mobility as well as to develop and defend a common intersectoral attitude to this issue.

“The APIME aims to be the driving force behind the development of electric mobility in our country”, we learn in this sense. And to specify that “APIME is intended to affiliate with FENELEC”. The first axes of work of the APIME will be devoted to dialogue with the public authorities in order to complete the standardization of electric mobility equipment and to examine with the electricity distribution organizations the specifications for connecting charging facilities. . Another essential objective of APIME is to draft a contract of engagement which will constitute the roadmap of the national private sector capable of preparing Morocco for the expected emergence of the electric vehicle.

As a reminder, the constitutive general assembly of APIME took place on Monday, January 30, 2023 in Casablanca. A board of fourteen members was elected. The presidency is attributed to Omar El Harti of Centrelec. Moulay Hafid Amrani of Afrimobility will ensure the Vice-presidency of APIME.
The office is also made up of Adil Bennani from Auto Nejma (General Secretary), Karim Boukaa from Adiwatt (Deputy General Secretary), Allal Benjelloun from CAC (General Treasurer) and Fouad El Kohen from Meier Energy (Deputy General Treasurer). ) .
Among the founding members of this association are also manufacturers and sellers of charging equipment, installers and charging operators, manufacturers and sellers of vehicles as well as research and development, certification and promotion organizations electric mobility.
