A heinous act starring a priest complained couple in Lefkadawho went to the island for their honeymoon.
On Sunday afternoon, while they were driving, they saw in the opposite direction a van dragging two dogs tied with chains.
“Is it possible to do such a thing? They are bloody,” the girl can be heard saying, emotionally charged, urging the priest to resolve them.
“His excuse was that ‘because he had some branches, the dogs couldn’t fit and where should I carry them. I tied them outside to take them home.” He was telling us excuses and nonsense. We called the police on the spot. He was not wearing a rasa at the time. But as soon as we got to the ward, he suddenly appeared in rags,” the girl who stopped the priest and recorded the video told STAR.
As the couple complains, a deputy mayor, a relative of the priest, appeared at the police station of the Apollonio area to support him.
Both dogs were examined by a veterinarian. The concern of the couple and the Panhellenic federation NEMESIS is the protection of the two dogs, their transport to a safe environment and the administration of justice.
Animal abuse is a criminal offense and is prosecuted ex officio. The case has taken the path of justice.
