A Plague Tale, the game developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Home Interactive, is going to be adapted into a television series.
Released in 2019, the French game A Plague Tale takes place in Aquitaine in the 14th century, in France, during the Hundred Years War. It focuses on the plight of Amicia de Rune and her ailing brother Hugo, as they flee from the soldiers of the French Inquisition and the hordes of rats spreading the Black Death. The player controls Amicia and uses a combination of stealth and limited tools to hide, distract or stun soldiers, avoid hordes of rats and solve puzzles, incorporating elements from survival and horror games. A suite, A Plague Tale : Requiem is planned for this.
The successful video game will know a television adaptation by a French team. Director Mathieu Turi is preparing the adaptation of the series, and thanked Asobo Studio and Focus Home Entertainment for the trust they placed in him by entrusting him with the project.
