The comedian Cacho Garay has been imprisoned in the San Felipe prison in Mendoza since July 2023 following being reported by Verónica Macías, his ex-partner, for gender violence and sexual abuse. In that sense, this Wednesday the first photo of the comedian was leaked from his cell, which generated alerts due to his physical change.

The images were shared by Diario De Mariana (a series hosted by Mariana Fabbiani on the América screen) where they showed how Garay is currently and assured that the comedian “lives in terrible conditions inside the prison.”

“Evidently, it is true that he lost weight, because he looks thinner, but you can also see the conditions in which he and his cellmates live. There are three beds and six people in the cell. They take turns sleeping on the floor,” Martín Candalaft, a journalist specializing in police crime, began.

In addition, they reported that the actor is in pavilion A1 of the San Felipe prison and revealed that it has capacity for 80 people but that there are currently 160 inmates inside. This fact is not minor because it would be the cause of the housing problems within the prison.

In the image they shared in the América cycle you can see Garay smoking, sitting on a piece of wood, without a shirt and much thinner than when he entered. According to him, it had emerged that the comedian had lost more than 20 kilos since he was arrested.

For his part, panelist Mariano Yezze assured that Garay’s legal representative demanded that the Justice Department return his client to house arrest. “On Friday, his lawyer filed an appeal before the Supreme Court of Mendoza to return to home, alleging that Cacho has prostate cancer, diabetes, cardiological, neurological, and motor problems and that he lost 80% of his vision. He wants him to be evaluated by an oncologist, a urologist, a cardiologist, a neurologist and a traumatologist,” he said.

It should be noted that a few days ago the journalist Juan Etchegoyen gave more details regarding Cacho’s situation in prison. “They tell me that the comedian entered the penitentiary with 102 kilos and now he is weighing regarding 80 kilos. In addition, he added: “85% of the vision of the right eye is affected. His prostate is deteriorated and continues to progress. “Cacho is insulin dependent and as a consequence he has peaks of low and high blood sugar, causing an imbalance when walking,” he added regarding this situation.

“They also told me that Cacho suffers from a depressive state as a result of all the slanderous things that, according to him, have offended his honor and reputation for so many years. Currently he is locked in his cell, he hardly talks to anyone and cries all the time,” the driver described and concluded: “They ended up telling me that the prison service is not at the forefront of dealing with these types of consequences, which “It causes enormous discomfort in Garay.”
