In a bus on the way to work in Daejeon, a passenger in his 70s suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed.
The medical staff and citizens who were on the same bus were able to take emergency measures together and save the man’s life.

On the 23rd, Daejeon Bus No. 201.
A man suddenly loses consciousness and his head tilts back.
After a few minutes, the body is completely relaxed and I lie down on a chair, and the citizens gather.
One passenger calls 911 to continue reporting the patient’s condition, while another lays the man on the floor and begins CPR.
CPR continued for 7 minutes until the 119 ambulance arrived.
The man in his 70s, who collapsed from a myocardial infarction and was taken to the hospital, is recovering following undergoing emergency surgery.
It was the clinician and nurse at the same hospital who saved precious lives by working together from 911 call to first aid.

“I was very nervous and embarrassed, but I remembered that I was educated, and at that moment, instinctively… everyone reported it…”
The man and his family, who saved their lives thanks to securing the so-called ‘golden time’ through emergency measures without delay, expressed their gratitude.

“This is a miracle. It’s a miracle. If I had left (my husband) alone, this bus might have just gone to the last stop. It’s time for work. Then my uncle mightn’t revive. I’m really grateful.”
The man is expected to be discharged as early as this week, and the hospital plans to reward the medical staff who saved the lives of citizens.
