Russia – Russian nutrition expert Margarita Korolyova advised once morest eating refined, fried, smoked and spicy foods for breakfast, and forbade drinking tea with food.
She said in a statement to the Russian Novosti News Agency: “In the morning, you should not overeat canned and salty foods, and fried, smoked and spicy foods are not suitable for breakfast, and of course I do not advise anyone to eat large amounts of refined, salty foods, sugar and fats.”
According to her, it is not recommended to consume tea and coffee, which most people drink at breakfast, with food or immediately following food, while alcohol and soft drinks should be completely excluded from breakfast.
She says: “When you drink tea with breakfast, the stomach will not absorb the protein in eggs, for example, well.” Therefore, it is best to drink it at least half an hour following eating breakfast.”
She points out that scrambled eggs and omelettes are perfectly suitable for breakfast, but without sausages. Rather, an amount of vegetables and nuts can be added, because thanks to them the body obtains various nutrients.
According to her, cereal porridges can be eaten for breakfast, as well as fermented dairy products, heat-treated whole protein sources, and vegetables. Noting that the body should get approximately 25 percent of the total daily calories.
