RIYADH: Several MoUs have been formed before the flag off of the three-day global summit organized in Riyadh with the message ‘Artificial intelligence for the betterment of humanity’. The host country benefited from the fact that leading Saudi government and private institutions and universities were able to sign memorandums of understanding with global IT firms and heads of technology companies. The summit was held at Riyadh King Abdulaziz International Convention Center under the patronage of Amir Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Chairman of Data and Artificial Intelligence.

A cash award of three lakh Riyals for the best heritage presentation at the summit is handed over by the organizing SDAIA officials.

Many representatives and invitees including heads of global organizations, technical experts, ministers, teachers and students of world-renowned universities participated in the summit. Many of the sessions held were technical know-how and a willingness to share expertise was judged by the national media.

Many of the speakers said that the summit was organized to help Saudi Arabia achieve its technological goals in relation to ‘Vision 2030’. National institutions including Saudi Arabian Airlines, various ministries, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Noora Bint Abdurrahman University and institutions and technical institutes and global institutions have signed memorandums of understanding. Ahmed Al-Jabbar, the Saudi director of the world-renowned organization ‘Intelli’, and King Abdullah University’s Vice President of Future Economy, Dr. Maryam Nooh also signed a five-year cooperation agreement.

The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the agricultural sector. Agriculture Deputy Minister Ng. Mansoor bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti and Tata Consulting Services Saudi Regional Director Sudhir Sreedharan signed the four-year memorandum of understanding. The Ministry’s General Director for Information Technology and Digital Transformation Dr. Abdul Hamid Al-Alaiwi hoped.
