a new version with a GA107 GPU at 115W

This information comes to us from Igor Wallossek. According to him, the graphics card NVIDIA RTX 3050 would come on the market with a new GPU GA107 having a lower TDP of 115W instead of 130W. The GeForce RTX 3050 card features 2560 CUDA cores, 80 Tensor Cores, 32 ROPs and 20 RT cores. It works in PCIe Gen4 x8 despite the GA106-150 GPU supporting x16 too. In short, apart from consumption, all the technical characteristics should remain the same. Similarly, no PCB modification would be required to use the GA107 of NVIDIA instead of the GA106-150. It will only be necessary to use a compatible BIOS. Provided that it comes at a price close to the recommended price (279 euros) we can not say no to an RTX 3050 offering better energy efficiency in a world where the price of electricity is only increasing.

If you want to take a closer look at the performance of this graphics card, we tested two copies with the GIGABYTE RTX 3050 GAMING OC 8G and the MSI RTX 3050 GAMING X 8G.
