Scientists all over the world continue to track the emerging corona virus, in order to learn more about all its symptoms in light of the ongoing mutants of “Covid-19”.
According to the health website, there appears to be a new symptom of the emerging corona virus, revealed by a study conducted by the American Heart Association, and published in the journal Circulation: Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology.
And researchers at the American Heart Association say that the dangerous symptom of the Corona virus is: atrial fibrillation, or irregular heartbeat, “a rapid heartbeat.”
The researchers discovered that 1 in 20 patients hospitalized with coronavirus suffers from atrial fibrillation, which is associated with major cardiac events.
The researchers added in the study: “About 45% of patients who developed atrial fibrillation died while in hospital after infection with the Corona virus.”
“According to research, atrial fibrillation may put more people at a higher risk of stroke and heart failure than previously thought,” said Dr. Jonathan Picchini, volunteer chair of an advisory group from the American Heart Association.
