The Trends Center for Research and Consultation has released a new study entitled: “Biden and the Middle East: Where to Rebalance?”, a study that evaluates the geopolitical motives for US President Joe Biden’s visit to the region, the implications for regional powers, and the short and long-term goals of the visit for US foreign policy. .
The study emphasized that US President Joe Biden’s visit should be viewed as a re-confirmation of the truisms related to the geopolitics of US strategy and foreign policy.
She noted that while President Biden embarks on his long-awaited trip to the Middle East, a similar dilemma is hanging on the itinerary indicating that Biden is forced to submit to the rules of international politics.
The study indicated that international politics requires adaptation, explaining that what was built on the course of Biden’s election campaign gradually disintegrated following the elections, because several factors have occurred since he took office as the US presidency, most notably the cracking Corona epidemic policies at home and abroad, in conjunction with global economic shocks and supply chain turmoil. The exhausting internal political divisions that drained American power at home and abroad.
The study stated that Biden’s upcoming trip to the Middle East must be viewed in the context of these diverse challenges at home and abroad, indicating that President Biden, like many US presidents before him, needs Saudi support in global energy markets affected by the epidemic and the crisis in Ukraine.
