The head of the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Jeddah, Dr. Muhammad Al-Qahtani, confirmed that the “next generation of smart systems” is a project to detect fractures by hand through artificial intelligence. To avoid medical errors and reduce material costs.

Al-Qahtani said, in statements to Al-Ekhbariya channel, that the new project reduces effort, waiting time and operational cost.

He explained that the project works with artificial intelligence and does not require any specialist or expert in the field of radiology.

As for the mechanism of the project, Al-Qahtani said that the project of detecting fractures by hand was designed so that the x-ray image is entered, and then the device, using artificial intelligence technology, detects the location of the fractures directly.
