On Friday, Buckingham Palace published a picture of King Charles III with his official red box in which the British monarch receives government documents, following the new king assumed his official duties.
The image of the closed red box is closely associated with the British monarchy and was Queen Elizabeth The late woman appears frequently in pictures with the box.
The box contains papers from the British Government and some Commonwealth countries which are sent to the King from the Office of the Private Secretary.
The photo was taken in the Eighteenth Century Hall at Buckingham Palace last week.
In the background is a portrait of Charles’ late parents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
Elizabeth, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, died on September 8 at the age of 96.
