Peugeot e-208: an electric or hybrid engine
On the occasion of the restyling of the model, Peugeot is integrating two new new engines on the 208. Called Hybrid 100 and Hybrid 136, the latter are equipped with a PureTech internal combustion engine. They are combined with a 48-volt hybrid system integrated into the robotic dual-clutch gearbox, the new e-DSC6. The manufacturer announces a drop in consumption of around 15%. The 208 hybrids will compete with Renault’s new Clio V. The PureTech 75 and 100 petrol units, exclusively thermal, are also renewed.
The electric version, the Peugeot e-208, is equipped with the brand’s new engine. This develops a power of 115 kW, or 156 horsepower. The battery offers a capacity of 51 kWh. Autonomy should reach 381 to 383 kilometers. This version accepts fast charging at 100 kW, which allows it to go from 20 to 80% of its autonomy in less than 30 minutes.
