“A new generation of industrial zones within the reach of investors”

“All regions of the Kingdom have industrial zones, equipped or under construction, which extend over a total area of ​​about 12,000 hectares,” said Ryad Mezzour.

The Minister specified that since the launch of the first generation of the Industrial Acceleration Plan 2014-2021, an additional supply of industrial land covering an area of ​​approximately 3,000 hectares has been ensured in most regions of the Kingdom.

And to add that during the same period, the ministry rehabilitated a set of industrial zones with a total area of ​​about 900 hectares in the regions of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, Beni Mellal-Khénifra, Casablanca- Settat, Souss-Massa, Fez-Meknes, the Oriental, and the region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab. Mezzour also recalled that his department is determined to continue the process aimed at providing all the regions of the Kingdom with their own industrial zones. In 2022 alone, agreements were signed to create industrial zones on a total area of ​​1,200 hectares.

The government official also referred to the follow-up of nine projects consisting in completing, expanding and upgrading old industrial zones within the framework of the Sustainable Industrial Zones Fund, created jointly implemented within the framework of the cooperation program “Compact II concluded between the Kingdom and the government of the United States of America.

Furthermore, Mezzour stressed that his ministry is fighting against real estate speculation and ensuring that the real estate market is provided with a new generation of industrial zones at a cost within the reach of investors.
