The luxury group Kering announced Monday the appointment of Gianfilippo Testa as general manager of the Alexander MacQueen house where he succeeds Emmanuel Gintzburger from May, according to a press release.
Gianfilippo Testa will report to François-Henri Pinault, CEO of Kering, it is specified.
He succeeds Emmanuel Gintzburger, “who has decided to leave Kering to take up a new professional challenge outside the group”.
An Italian national, Gianfilippo Testa began his career at TAG Heuer in 2002 and then held various positions within LVMH, notably at Fendi in Italy, Japan and Hong Kong.
He joined Kering in 2016 as President of Gucci Greater China before becoming, in 2019, President of the EMEA zone (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Global Vice President of Gucci Retail.
“As CEO of Alexander McQueen, Gianfilippo Testa will be responsible for accelerating the development of the British luxury house in order to realize its full potential”, according to the press release.
In 2021, Kering (Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Boucheron…) achieved a turnover of 17.6 billion euros.
