While the rain and snow take turns in the Lyon sky while the mercury oscillates around 0°, our fertile minds take advantage of it to escape to cravings for sun and warmth. If some will have the chance to fly to the coconut palms and the fine sandy beaches during the winter, others (like us) will have to wait for the good weather to discover a new spot not too far from our pretty France.
And that’s good: the low-cost airline Transavia has just unveiled 7 new international routes that will be offered from the spring/summer 2023 season departing from France. Among them, an unprecedented connection between Lyon airport and that of Antalya, a magnificent coastal city in southern Turkey. A plane will take off every Monday from April 10, 2023 with flights offered from €89 one way.
Nicknamed the ” turkish riviera », the city of Antalya enjoys a privileged geographical position on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and welcomes nearly 13 million tourists each year. Between spectacular cliffs, turquoise waters, luxury hotels, major historical attractions and a modern marina, Antalya has more than one trick up its well-stocked bag. No coincidence that the city is particularly popular with couples looking for a romantic getaway.
