Quality evaluation
Uber’s two-way rating system has been a mainstay for its app for years, as it’s been an effective way to monitor app quality.
Ratings can determine whether or not passengers or drivers can continue to use the app, and the inconsistent nature of public ratings, which can cause people to approach different issues very differently from one another, has led to some confusion regarding how to manage the system.
In the United States, the five largest cities with the lowest average passenger ratings are: New York City, Seattle, Washington DC, Boston, and Minneapolis. San Antonio, St. Louis, and Nashville have the highest average ratings for cyclists.
Recovering from the pandemic
Uber incurred significant losses at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, but the latest figures in the company’s fourth-quarter results exceeded expectations and indicate that it is on its way to recovering from the pandemic losses.
