Al-Marsad newspaper: Sources revealed the readiness and anticipation to implement the decision of the Ministry of Human Resources regarding obligating recruitment companies to insure the domestic labor contract on behalf of the client.
The provisions of the decision include compensating the employer for the expenses of returning the body in the event of the death of the worker, or in the event of the absence of “escape” or the worker’s refusal to work, in addition to the expenses of bringing in an alternative domestic worker in the event of death, disability to work, or chronic and critical illnesses. According to Okaz.
The provisions of the decision also include compensation for the worker in the event that he did not receive the salary as a result of the death of the employer or his inability to do so.
The decision includes including the cost of insurance with the costs of the contract concluded between the company or office and the employer for the first two years from the date of the start of the contract, and the insurance is then optional for the employer when renewing the worker’s residence.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) participate in the implementation of the insurance decision on contracts for the recruitment of domestic workers, by linking insurance companies to the “Musaned” platform concerned with the recruitment of workers.
