A new decision from Amazon regarding the leaves of its employees with corona

The American company “Amazon” announced that it will shorten the period of its paid leave for quarantine, which is allocated to its employees infected with the emerging “Corona” virus, from 10 to 7 days only.

The company sent an email to employees, on Friday, telling them that the policy would come into effect immediately, Archyde.com reported.
“Do not come to work if you are sick,” said the letter, the content of which was seen by “Archyde.com”.

And she indicated that “additional leave options are available for individuals who do not show symptoms following one week.”

Amazon’s decision comes following the recently modified guidance issued by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which reduces the isolation time for people with no symptoms of the disease from 10 to 5 days.

The new “Amazon” policy came with the rise in cases across America due to the “Omicron” mutant, as the daily rate of cases reached 648,211 as of Friday, according to data from the American newspaper “The New York Times”.

The CDC’s guidance sparked opposition from scientists and citizens, who expressed concern that it would result in more infections.

The agency said that the guidelines apply to people who no longer suffer from symptoms 5 days following their infection or symptoms for the first time, and these individuals will still need to wear a medical mask around others for an additional 5 days.
