A new comment from the Iranian Foreign Minister regarding the resumption of relations between Tehran and Riyadh

Al-Marsad Newspaper – Agencies: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that improving his country’s relations with its neighbors is “part of their faith,” noting that the agreement to resume relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia is a step forward in the right direction.

Abdullahian’s statement came during a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, following their talks in Moscow today, Wednesday.

He indicated that a meeting will soon be held with Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan to accelerate the strengthening of relations between the two countries.

On the other hand, the Iranian Foreign Minister announced the holding of a meeting of Russia, Turkey, Iran and Syria next week in Moscow at the level of deputy ministers.

The Iranian minister added: “Moscow and Tehran will make efforts to bring the positions of the two sides closer,” noting that if the meeting results in an agreement, a similar meeting will be held at the level of foreign ministers.
