A new comment from the Foreign Minister regarding Saudi Arabia’s position on normalization with Israel • Al-Marsad newspaper

Al-Marsad newspaper: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, revealed the Kingdom’s position on the normalization of relations with Israel.

Speaking on Al-Ekhbariya channel, Bin Farhan said, “Nothing has changed in the way we look at this issue. We have always viewed normalization as the end result of a process.”

He continued, “It was Saudi Arabia that launched the Arab initiative in 2001, and we worked on a peace initiative, all of which will lead to full normalization with Israel, and it will have benefits for everyone.”

He continued: “We cannot reap these benefits unless we solve the Palestinian issue, as we have witnessed during the past few weeks that this issue is still destabilizing the region.”

He concluded: “If we do not resolve this issue, this enables extremist voices in the region, so the priority now is how we can push the Palestinian-Israeli peace process forward.”
