A new cinematic trailer for Hogwarts Legacy

With the release of Hogwarts Legacy less than a month away, Warner Bros. Games brings us a new cinematic trailer that gives players a taste of the adventure they can experience from February 10th.

The trailer unveils the new open-world game a little more by transporting us through several environments that we can explore freely (at least, that’s what we hope). To do this, the developers had the good idea to send us an owl who must deliver an important message to a new student at Hogwarts. We can assume here that the new student is none other than you, or at least the character that you can create for yourself.

During this short flight, we can see the exterior of the castle, the great hall (the magnificent room where the students meet to eat) and the forbidden forest (full of giant spiders). The last two scenes we are presented with do not seem to demonstrate an emblematic place in the Harry Potter franchise in particular. The first shows us a masked wizard trying to kidnap a Hippogriff (he’s also trying to kill our owl, so we can deduce that he’s mean). The second shows us three wizards, probably students, fighting a huge dragon.

The release of this game is eagerly awaited by many fans of the Harry Potter series who grew up with the magical world of Hogwarts. Harry Potter had already had its series of games developed by EA, which many millennials have played, but this will be the very first time that we will be able to create our own character in this universe and explore Hogwarts and its surroundings in the open world. On the contrary, some prefer boycott the game because of JK Rowling, the author of the original series, and the transphobic remarks she has made in recent years.
