The Great Wall Concern has announced its intention to introduce a new car brand to the Russian market. The Tank sub-brand will be launched in Russia by the end of 2022, reports “Autostat” with reference to the Chinese automaker.
Two models, Tank 300 and Tank 500, will be presented in Russia, each of which is built on the platform of Great Wall’s own development. It is stated that the models will receive gasoline engines – a 220-horsepower 2-liter turbo engine and a 299-horsepower naturally aspirated 3-liter V6, which are combined with 8- and 9-speed automatic transmissions. Declared four-wheel drive with locking rear and front cross-axle differentials, as well as a wide range of electronic driver assistants.
The premiere of the Tank brand in Russia is scheduled for November 2022, and the start of sales of the Tank 300 and Tank 500 is expected in the first half of 2023. The cost of cars in the Russian market has not yet been named. Recall that in Russia the Great Wall concern is already represented by the brands GWM and Haval.
