A new batch.. The UAE supports Ukraine with electricity generators to face the winter

An Emirati aid plane arrived in the Polish capital, Warsaw, carrying the second batch of household electricity generators, to contribute to providing energy for the homes of Ukrainian civilians, and to alleviate the difficult living effects of families affected by the crisis in Ukraine.

Last December, the United Arab Emirates announced the provision of 2,500 electric generators to civilians affected as a result of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, which led to the impact of energy infrastructure and the occurrence of power outages, in order to help them cope with the harsh winter conditions. The first batch of 1,200 generators was delivered during the past month, and the rest of the generators were completed today.

This aid comes within the humanitarian relief aid allocated by the UAE to civilians affected by the crisis in Ukraine, at a value of $100 million.

The UAE’s continuous assistance to Ukraine stems from the UAE’s approach and its endeavor to provide initiatives that would mitigate the humanitarian repercussions resulting from the crisis, and within the framework of its moral commitment towards the affected peoples of the world in conflict areas.

It should be noted that the UAE has taken the initiative since the beginning of the crisis to alleviate the suffering of those affected by it, as it has already flown regarding 8 planes carrying 360 tons of food and medical aid and ambulances for Ukrainian refugees in Poland, Moldova and Bulgaria, in response to the United Nations urgent appeal and response plan.
