Charlie Braesch : sporty but above all tasty ride! The idea is to pass on what was handed down to me a few decades ago: the passion for wild plants. How to learn to recognize them, how to possibly add them to our diet and our plates.

Exactly. I take my groups to places that I find beautiful. I really like going in the Pilat towards Rochetaillée. Next week, I also have an outing to Saint-Victor-sur-Loire. And in Haute-Loire, I prefer places like Retournac, along the Madeleine or around the castle of Artias.

What plants, what flowers are edible here, in the Loire and Haute-Loire? And especially which ones are dangerous?

Danger is everywhere! There is one that we see very often on the banks of the Loire, on sandy, sunny and warm ground: it is the great hemlock. It is a plant of the carrot family to be very careful, which can be two meters fifty high. But people often confuse when it is still small, in the bushy stage, can confuse it with parsley.

What is the risk ?

Simply death. It already happened in 2020, in Brittany. One person did not survive after confusing wild carrot and another plant with the name Saffron.
