Mixed martial arts fighter Nikita Krylov defeated American Ryan Spann at UFC Fight Night 221 in Las Vegas.

Krylov finished the fight in the first round. The confrontation ended following a choke hold.

Initially, the fight was supposed to take place two weeks ago, but Krylov was hospitalized with food poisoning a few hours before entering the octagon.

Krylov was born in the village of Krasny Luch (Lugansk region), now he lives and trains in Russia. In the last three fights, he fought under a neutral flag; earlier, Krylov fought under the flags of Russia and Ukraine.

On account of the 30-year-old Krylov 28 wins and nine losses in MMA. The victory over Spann was the third in a row for the fighter. Spann, 31, has 22 wins and eight losses.
