Al-Marsad newspaper: The World Health Organization announced that one death was recorded as a result of an outbreak of a mysterious liver disease affecting children in Europe and the United States.

The World Health Organization indicated that it had so far received reports of at least 169 cases of “acute hepatitis of unknown origin” in 12 countries.

And she indicated, “The ages of the affected children ranged between one month and 16 years,” noting that 17 of the injured needed liver transplants, according to “The Associated Press.”

While the World Health Organization did not mention the country that witnessed the death, and the first cases of infection were recorded in Britain, where 114 children were infected.

She pointed out that the virus was discovered in at least 74 cases, and at least 20 of the children were confirmed to be infected with the Corona virus.
