Yesterday afternoon at an apartment in Nowon-gu, Seoul, a ladder truck fell, killing a woman in her 70s and injuring her 8-year-old grandson.
An accident occurred while folding the ladder after moving all the moving items.

Six vehicles parked in the vicinity were hit by ladders and their glass was shattered or dented.
Yesterday at 2:10 pm, a 5-ton ladder truck that was moving luggage fell in an apartment complex in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul.

“I was in the room, and suddenly there was a sound like thunder, so I came out, but the ladder was collapsing… It was so sudden that I was very surprised.”
As you can see, the 17th-floor ladder in the apartment collapsed, causing a shock to the end of the apartment on the same line.
In the accident, a woman in her 70s passing under a ladder truck suffered serious head and back injuries and was taken to the hospital, but died.

According to eyewitnesses and the fire department, the ladder truck in the accident collapsed to the right in the process of folding the ladder after moving all the moving items to the 17th floor.
Police are investigating whether the ladder fell due to the strong wind or whether there was a problem in the operation of the ladder truck.
