Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Social media activists circulated videos and photos of the ceremony of crowning Al Hilal Saudi Club as the Club World Cup champion, and a movement made by Real Madrid players during the ceremony, which sparked interaction.
Activists highlighted what they described as the “passage of honor” for the Real Madrid players who lined up during the passage of Al-Hilal players on their way to the podium, amidst applause.
The Spanish club Real Madrid had defeated its Saudi counterpart, Al Hilal, by five goals to three, in the final of the Club World Cup, which was held on the grounds of the “Moulay Abdallah” stadium in Moroccan territory, on Saturday evening.
Al-Hilal Club occupied the title of the championship for the first time in the history of its participation, and it is considered the third Arab team to achieve this, following the Moroccan Esperance and Al-Ain of the United Arab Emirates.
