Did you think you would one day find the carbon fiber design of the Lenovo ThinkPad on a phone? Well, you’ll be amazed since the leaked images show a Motorola ThinkPad-style phone. The “ThinkPhone by Motorola” shows exactly the resumption of this design on the arrival of the new range of smartphones.
The characteristics of the Motorola with ThinkPad sauce
The Motorola packs powerful features. However, it still remains in line with the latest generations of smartphones released during the year 2022.
The ThinkPhone’s processor, RAM and storage
The leaked spec sheet suggests it won’t be Qualcomm’s latest chip powering the new Motorola Thinkpad phone.
Instead, it features another great reference among high-end smartphones. The latter can only be the Qualcomm chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which was widely talked regarding when it was announced in May, combined with smartphones from the Honor, Oppo, Xiaomi and many other ranges.
The ThinkPhone’s screen and photo capabilities
Also according to the leaked information, the ThinkPhone should be equipped with an OLED panel with a dimension of 6.6 inches HDR (High Dynamic Range) with a display of 1800 x 2400 px for a frequency of 144 Hz.
On the photo side, we expect a 32-megapixel front camera and a triple-lens rear camera. The main camera on the back is said to be 50 megapixels, the ultra wide-angle 13 megapixels and the depth sensor 2 megapixels.
Other specifics of the Motorola “ThinkPad” phone
Blurred marketing images of the product also show reference integrations with Lenovo laptops. However, the supported features might not be clearly identified.
In addition, the leaked information does not mention either availability or price. Moreover, it is not even said if the new Motorola sauce ThinkPad will be marketed outside of China.
However, there are only a few weeks left before the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in January 2023. It will also be followed by the MWC (Mobile World Congress), the following month. It is therefore reasonable to wait a little longer before the official announcement of the ThinkPhone.
