A motorcyclist dies in a traffic accident in Liège

On Friday, the Liège police were called at 6.43 p.m. at the corner of rue des Vingt-Deux towards the Quai de Rome, where a traffic accident had just occurred.

According to information sent by the Liège prosecutor’s office, “the motorist was turning when he was hit head-on by the biker”. Indeed, the driver of the vehicle was turning in the rue des twenty-two when the biker hit him. The scene of extreme violence occurred under the gaze of witnesses present at the crash site. According to our information, the victim, a man born in 1979, was driving at high speed when the accident occurred.

Died on the spot

Following the shock, a passerby undertook first aid on the victim. Quickly, the emergency services arrived on the spot and were able to begin their work. Unfortunately, following long minutes of care, the victim died at the scene of the accident.

It should be noted that the Liège public prosecutor’s office dispatched an expert on the spot. The prosecution specifies that the circumstances of the accident seem clear and that the scene was filmed by CCTV cameras.
