Last week, the branch of an international company specialized in transporting and securing funds was shaken by the theft of about 1.3 billion centimes of money, which were supposed to be transferred to banking and financial institutions in the cities of Temara and Rabat.

According to what Al-Akhbar newspaper reported in its issue of Tuesday, November 5, 2024, company officials found themselves in shock after reviewing the financial accounts and discovering the theft scandal that exceeded a billion cents, while the company’s employees were accused.

According to the same source, the shock of the officials who informed the security services about the matter doubled when they heard the news that the employees accused of stealing large sums of money had fled to Turkey, which threatens the possibility of arresting them and unraveling the circumstances of the unprecedented incident at the company.

The newspaper confirmed that the Royal Gendarmerie’s services, in Ain Atiq, where the company’s branch that was robbed is located, entered into the research line in coordination with the judicial center of the Gendarmerie in Temara and the competent services of the central and regional commands in Rabat, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in Temara.

Thus far, the two suspected employees have not been found, whose sudden absence from work appeared before it became clear that they were involved in stealing money from the agency, which witnessed a state of great alert, in parallel with the arrival of a specialized team from the Gendarmerie, accompanied by a technical team, in order to begin research. Under the supervision of the Public Prosecution.
