A minister offers citizens to shower together

In anticipation of the energy crisis expected this winter, a Swiss minister has recommended that citizens take showers together, reports the Anadolu Agency.

Simonetta Sommaruga, Minister of Environment and Energy in Switzerland, made this recommendation to help people and the government save money and avoid outages during the cold season.

She herself claims to have changed her lifestyle due to the austerity campaign launched by the Swiss government. The country even indicated that if the energy problem reached the level of emergency this winter, the recalcitrant might receive prison sentences.

In the event of a natural gas crisis, the Swiss would be required to limit the temperature of their homes to 19 degrees Celsius and that of their water to 60 degrees.

“From a certain age, showers for two do not please everyone,” nevertheless admitted the politician in an interview with the Tages-Anzeiger newspaper, insisting that her recommendation was serious and fair.
