A migrant wins 250,000 euros in a scratch card game but cannot recover his winnings

In Belgiuma young migrant from Zeebrugge discovered that he had won 250,000 euros, thanks to a scratch ticket. A nice sum but too large to be paid by the supermarket where the ticket was purchased, reports Evening Mag. The employees then referred him to the National Lottery to be able to withdraw the money.

A few days later, three men showed up at the National Lottery with the ticket. Among them, no trace of the winner. The trio was therefore arrested and an investigation was carried out to understand how they had been able to recover this winning ticket.

No papers, no bank account

It was actually the real winner who had commissioned the three men to collect his prize. The latter had to go to the police station in Bruges to clarify things with his lawyer. Because the young man finds himself in an impasse.

To be able to recover his winnings, he must have a bank account, on which the transfer will be made. And to have a bank account, he must have papers, which he does not have. A situation that the young migrant and his lawyer are trying to unblock. Until then, the money will be kept by the National Lottery.
