Dr. Walid Hindi, a mental health consultant, said that nervous panic does not have a direct cause, but there are a group of factors, such as the genetic factor, noting that part of mental illnesses is hereditary, and therefore a person must have a great deal of psychological toughness to adapt to circumstances.
And Hindi added – in his interview with the “Good Morning Egypt” program, on Channel One -: “This disease may be caused by pressure on the patient in socialization, such as beating, insult, humiliation, calling out some undesirable qualities, moral destruction, and exposure to painful experiences such as harassment, early marriage and assaults. “.
The mental health consultant continued: “When a person is exposed to these factors, when he grows up, he is predisposed to nervous panic, and changing life circumstances may cause this disease, such as the death of the husband, infidelity, divorce and separation, that is, they are explosive factors that show the presence of panic when human being, and there is also dealing.”
He noted that nervous panic attacks last from one to 5 minutes, and may be moderate, lasting from 10 minutes to 20 minutes, and there are panic attacks that may last for an hour, explaining that some attacks are weekly and others daily, in addition to seasonal panic.
He added, “Some people panic regarding the spring season, due to personal circumstances, such as deaths or accidents, so there has become a conditional link between the spring season and the painful experience recall.”
And the mental health consultant continued: “There are some people who suffer from hemophobia, which is the fear of blood. When people rejoice on the blessed Eid al-Adha, they suffer from panic disorder.”
He pointed out, that there is a syndrome known as the white petticoat syndrome that affects children, because they are intimidated by the injection by the parents, or the doctor dealt harshly with them, therefore, everything related to medical procedures becomes a cause for phobia, and therefore if this person passes near a hospital, he may panic in night period.
