A memorandum of understanding on animal health and diseases transmissible to humans | handles

The scientific teams of the two organizations are already taking part in numerous joint research projects, national or European, in the first place “ Horizon 2020 », the European program for research and innovation of the European Commission. As reference laboratories at national, European and international level, they work together for the surveillance, detection and fight once morest many animal infectious diseases such as African swine fever, avian influenza, foot-and-mouth disease, but also issues related to wildlife.

This agreement will materialize through the strengthening of these collaborations allowing the exchange of knowledge and technical know-how, as well as the sharing of cutting-edge technologies in the service of ever more efficient scientific work.

The agreement was signed by Thomas Mettenleiter, President of the FLI, and Roger Genet, Director General of ANSES during his trip to the FLI on the occasion of the symposium “One Health – Research for human, animal and environmental health organized by the FLI to celebrate the 111th anniversary of its creation.
